RINGTRANSFER™ Model I-4-6-8 Stations
The L&L Rotary Palletized machining system transfers work in a space saving circular path from station to station by way of a unique ring gear principle. A hydraulic index drive assures precise movement of the ring gear during the transfer cycle with smooth acceleration and deceleration. When indexing is complete, pallets are independently located at each work station. A distinctive L&L "lift and carry" feature is engineered into the register assembly which eliminates sliding wear on locating pads during the transfer cycle. The result is repeatability accurate to 0.0004 of an inch, at each independent workstation. Machining from the inside & outside like no other machine tool.

  6. Swarf and coolant disposal in two separate gutters.
  7. Low Maintenance
    A. Ring and Clamping cylinders are protected from dirt and coolant by sheet metal covers.
    B. Transfer ring itself, carries no machining forces.
    C. Index mechanism simple and dependable.
  8. CNC units - Programmable CNC way-type slide units are available with horizontal or vertical spindles.
  9. Tool Compensation - For critical tolerances, tool compensation packages are available on all machining units.
Clamping Methods
Hydraulic actuated locating pins and clamping shoes work independently at each workstation, pallets locate prior to final machining operations.
Efficient Installation
After the quality run-off of the completed machine at the L&L Grand Blanc, Michigan facility, the modular design concept greatly contributes to prompt and efficient teardown. The basic RINGTRANSFER™ machine quickly dismantles into separate components ready for shipping. Upon arrival at the customer's plant, these components can be easily maneuvered into position down narrow aisle ways with relative ease. Under the supervision of an L&L Technician, these components are expertly reassembled. The result is a highly efficient reinstallation process.
